I take real pleasure in writing these tales. Taking my inspiration from the immediate surroundings of our home in the country. Woodstock is a real cat and helps me write. Barnie, the Owl, was elected as the mascot for a Shrine Club here in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. He came to live with us when his master moved from a house into an apartment. I created an image of Barnie, the Owl in the form of a stuffed toy. To me he is alive. I started to write about him after I witnessed the silent flight of a real owl through the woods behind our home. He lives and breathes like you and I. I compelled to tell children about the adventures of Barnie. Read the description of these short stories by clicking on the links
