Children Christmas Stories, 2 Young Kittens Discover Nature
Christmas For ChildrenThis is the beginning of children Christmas stories and is all about Christmas for children. It spins the tale how two little kittens experience their first Christmas living on Lac Brome's Robinson Bay, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
Here, Woodstock the older cat, explains to the kittens (in a contemporary version), his understanding of why Christmas is celebrated. Mohrle and his sister, Missi Girl, are invited to partake in the "Celebration of the Season" deep in the woods not far from our home. You will be there to see what happens when they meet creatures of the wild they have never seen or known to exist before. Even in this joyful time, you will learn that some are still apprehensive of one another and keep a respectful distance. Your children will learn that some animals hibernate. For example Charlie the Woodchuck, hibernates deep underground in the safety of his cave. Out of harms way of freezing and starvation. No amount of noise will awaken him until spring, in time for the rebirth of nature. Then there is R.A. Coon, the sophisticated lecturer, however late to the party, giving a rousing speech to the assembled inhabitants of the woods. In all, a delightful little tale for all of us to enjoy and to contemplate the meaning of Christmas.
