Don't you just love classic childrens stories? Ever since the early days as a child when my mother would read a story for children at bedtime, I remember the exciting tales of adventure. I loved listening to classic stories for children. The stories collected and told by the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson. As soon as I was able to read, I would beg my parents to get stories for children for me to read. Short classic childrens stories or children’s bedtime stories would delight my senses. I would read whenever the time would permit. My fantasies knew no bounds and would let me dream of far away lands.
Writing the StoriesEver since that time of my childhood I have been dreaming of writing short stories for children of my own. Realizing that dream at last, I am now writing a collection of stories for children.
These short stories for children tell of the adventures of Barnie, a great horned owl that lives in a splendid old maple tree next to our house. His friend and buddy is Woodstock, a nice ginger male cat. The two of them patrol the woods around us. Assuring everyone of a safe environment. They have many friends and enjoy life in the country.
The Quality of the StoriesWhen you go to the Animal Stories page to select the story about Charlie the Intruder you will also be presented with sample audio clips from the CD as well as a 3 page excerpt from the book. You can read part of the story and see some of the illustrations.
