This is the second short story of Barnie and his adventures. Eagerly awaiting nightfall for his mentor to teach him more owling. Despite the painful reminder of last nights first lesson.

His first full day is full of surprises. Barnie is anxious to learn and can hardly wait for the next lesson from his new found mentor. His head is full of questions. Impatiently waiting to have these questions answered.

A surprise morning encounter with a strange animal in his new quarters surprises our friend Barnie. His curiosity about this strange creature needs to be addressed. He learns to wait.

A taste of incredibly good tasting food invites Barnie to imitate the word he hears repeatedly. He resolves to learn to speak like the man who brought him to this place, faraway from the mountain.

His new mentors explanations why he can’t do certain things because of his young age. Read about Barnie's progress in living with other creatures and the joy found in learning.

A friendly argument and the invitation to visit his friend at his home will undoubtedly arouse the curiosity in your little ones to learn more in this story of Barnie's adventures.
