I take real pleasure in writing these tales. Taking my inspiration from the immediate surroundings of our home in the country. Woodstock is a real cat and helps me write. Barnie was elected as the mascot of a Shrine Club here in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. He came to live with us when his previous master moved from a house into an apartment. I created an image of Barnie in my mind for all to see and experience. I made him come alive and started to write about Barnie the Owl after I witnessed the silent flight of a real owl through the woods behind our home. He lives in a splendid old maple tree next to our house on the lake. I take great pleasures in telling these stories about the Adventures of Barnie. .
