Wise Old Owl, Fun at the Fair and the Surprise

A wise old owl once said, once the summer is almost over, it’s "fair time". Barnie the Owl witnesses trucks bringing lots of interesting object to a nearby fairground. His curiosity is awakened and after hearing what is going to happen decides to wait before pursuing the matter further.

You will share Barnie’s excitement the day the fair opens. His joy of seeing children having fun on the many different rides. His own happiness of experiencing something very new and exiting.

He has heard of it, but never seen one. A train pulled by a make believe steam engine. Children think of it as like Hogwards Express from the Harry Potter series of books.

Farm animals on their finest behavior. The pride he feels when he discovers that his friend Scotty, the Highland Bull, having won an Award. Immense Horses in front of finely restored wagons capture Barnie’s imagination.

He marvels at the many varied displays of produce and home cooked specialties. Ingenious machinery on display. In short, a wonderful display by farm country inhabitants and the important contribution farmers make to our everyday life.

This story tells about the almost fatal surprise of learning that his life will change in a very short time. The despair Barnie the Owl feels and the solution to his problem. An engaging tale of happiness and not so happy moments. But all is well that ends well.
